Use to be big stuff before during and after, those days are gone sadly. Might start up a U Tube trapper association now and have a virtual convention for the new wave 'experts'.

Think they sell it J nothing free there.

Thought about doing some tailgating there, but they want $105.00 for a spot....That works for de facto dealers I would imagine, but for a small time trapper looking to sell a couple doz traps and a few small items that seems a whole lot like greed.

Especially when most of those small tailgaters would turn right around and spend even more $$ with the larger dealers, and on memberships, etc.

In the tailgate section, they could have cut the grass and rolled the new stones they put down. And cleaned the porta pots = smelled reeeeaaal bad. Yep paid the $105.....jk

Hemo had a great wolf discussion a few years ago. Kept stressing that “these are my wolves, yours down here are probably very different”

It was close to me. I thought about putting on a feed or something but no one seemed real jazzed to make it over there so I lost interest. I wonder what happen to NTA event attendance when all the posts leading up to it left this site a few years ago or whenever? Kinda sad. Too bad all the drama with them and key members here. There used to be a pretty big tman crowd there. Camping areas, tailgate areas, tman feeds. Big people here I don't think even went or had a booth. Like i said, sad.

Last one I was at was a couple years ago. Not sure how to define “big” but it was big enough that you’d never see everything in the 3 days, banquets were full, great time. The main reason you can’t see everything is you’ll be chatting with people everywhere you go…..lol.
Rusty is a top notch guy, I think they’re in good hands.
They were looking at making a presence in Canada and reached out to our FIC. Doug from FIC was invited down and I believe he had a speech during one of the evening events. Anyone recall it? Not sure if he set up a booth there?

I tailgated the entire show just outside the demo area.
I thought it was a well attended, well organized, well run convention.

I could see every demo, and I didn’t notice any that were poorly attended.
Folks were there to buy. We went loaded heavier than we ever have and came home WAY lighter.
Sold a nice mix of traps, but definitely more mink sized stuff than normal.
Absolutely beautiful weather during the convention.
Again, great job to all involved.

Wish I could have been there, Clay. I would have showed up at suppertime for some flathead with you Missouri boys.

We fried 30 lbs of flathead Friday night. It was excellent. You know you are always welcome Dave!

Demo area

Weather was VERY nice for a convention. Thank you Indiana and all the laborers that made it happen. Very good show, everything relatively as close as possible between tailgaters and buildings. Demo area one of if not the best I have observed in 20 years. Kids area very nice and contests well attended and run. Again, very nice weather, not too hot and didn't get poured on. Found very good cafe - Joanns and Lees chicken not too bad either.

Tailgated with mostly traps I had collected from decades of trapping. Almost sold out. Foe me 160’’s, 220’s, and DP’s went quick. I was right across from Clay and the Missouri gang were a great group to hang with. Fish fry was excellent. Thanks guys.

I didn’t take any pics, wish I would have taken one of the turkey chainsaw carving. Wow! Those guys are extremely talented. Couldn’t have asked for better weather. Almost a little chilly at night.Had a great tent camping spot on the east side of the demo area. Was within a rocks throw of the demo area, restrooms,/ showers . Met a lot of great people and had a heck of a good time. The guy that rode with me got hooked up with a ride along in another state this fall. That made his trip. Found some good deals in the tailgate area and did a little trading as well.
