The initial ICS-209 for the Old Trails fire shows 3,500 acres with 400 structures destroyed. I would say it is IN town.

160 you may have to suit up and head that way!

Aren’t they raking the forest in Washington? Sheesh, what dummies. I hope we tariff them for the smoke.

But seriously, fire is terrible and hard to control disaster. I hope people get lucky as I always do in the case of fire.

How different one side of the State to the other. Most days for the last two weeks it has rained here on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula and the weather remains cool, 70s during the day and 60s at night. I have been building a fire in the stove every night to warm things up.

Just drove from Central Idaho to SE Idaho. Entire ride was very hazy from all the smoke.

Our smoke is going to Montana and Canada, they are just sending it back through the central and eastern states. We in Idaho could complain about Washingtons smoke but that is the dumbest thing to (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) about, I am sure they aren't happy about being on fire. What goes around comes around we could be on fire next.

News this morning the Spokane VA hospital was evacuated so knowing what little I know of that area other than where the VA Hospital I' have to say it is on the very outskirts of North Spokane, Do know the Hosp is in a fairly densely populated area. The stinlahekin fire burned right to the town limits of Loomis all the way around.

I am way too old and fat. That is a young mans game. The only role I could fill there anymore is as a CNP1.

(That is fire talk for "Type 1 Curious Nonproducer").

I have nothing clever to put here.

No fires near Priest River now. We could have 2 months of fire season yet so I won't be surprised if we get some. Air quality is at 208 or very unhealthy right now. We are headed home tomorrow so will know a lot more tomorrow afternoon.

I just read that it could be most destructive fire in Washington state history.

Here you go. You may want to bookmark this. This map is interactive and VERY up to the minute. You can zoom in pretty tight and even use the measure tool to calculate acres before the updates are public.
