How is giving up one's life best for them as a soldier? I know a pretty huge number of soldiers and policemen. I don't think being looked on as a hero is a main motivation. It is definitely still a more minor motivation.

Now yote trap thats limited thinking. I would argue it depends on what the job is on who would be the best to hire. Even unless trash can be useful and a beter fit in some situations.
