Sooo.... I did a thing I thought I'd share. I picked sweet corn, so super fresh and sweet...

Sweet Corn:
I saw this thing where you boil sweet corn in milk. I tried it but used 50/50 cream. I chunked up a jalapeno and put it in the cream. Brought it to a simmer and put my ears of sweet corn in. I tried the corn and it was good. I tried the cooked cream and it was pretty tasty. Like really tasty. It and the corn had a strong peppery taste not a jalapeno hot burn your mouth.

Corn Clam Chowder:
So the cream with the strong sweet corn flavor was better than the corn with the cream flavor so I wanted to make something with it... I fished out all the chucky jalapenos. I added canned potatoes. I added a can of smoked clams. I cut the corn off of two of the ears and put that in. I added salt and pepper, I use quit a bit. I through in a couple table spoons of a good smoked spanish paprika. I added a few tablespoons of good olive oil and a couple pats of butter. Onion and garlic powder. Don't let it boil or scorch.

I thought it was really good. The corn wasn't bad either. Maybe give it a shot if ya wanna. Happy Summer.

I love to experiment like that. Your chowder sounds like a winner. I may do something similar with crappie fillets.

Add some fresh-caught diced up snapping turtle to that chowder.

Good as that prolly is if you lay it back for a couple hours and then reheat it will be even better. Flavors mix and texture improves a lot.

What"s good for me may not be good for the weak minded.
