Thought it might be fun to share a few then and now trapping pictures. I started out at 10 trapping and am 66 now. The first picture is of when we where 14 and 13. I'm the exceptionally good looking one on the left. Those who know me now probably don't believe I ever had hair but I actually did. That wa in the north country of New York, St Lawrence county to be exact.

The second picture is last season. I've replaced the hair that once a adorned my head with facial hair. Years working under fluorescent lights washed all the color out of my beard. I'm sure that's what caused it. I am shocked though. I thought getting old would take a lot longer.

Would love to see your then and now pictures.

2 years ago. Don't have any recent pics of trapping with me in the picture, almost always alone when checking.

That's the line I use when talking to friends I have that I have been buddies with more decades than I feel I've been alive!

Some older pics. Couldn’t find any from late 70s and through 80s but here are some 1990s and early 2000s. Man I looked younger back then!!!

And here are some from more recent times. It’s funny, back in 70s, 80s, and 90s I had never heard of a “selfie” I always had to have someone with me to take my picture. I don’t have many of me but I have a jillion of my boys. I was always behind the camera, right. Then somewhere somehow someone started the selfie and that made a difference.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Early 1970's I am guessing around 73' Running a mink line and working fur in my first rental house basement.

[Linked Image]

I lived to hunt, fish and trap back then. A good day on rooster birds, a long range shot grouse on a back road, and some crappie and perch from a mountain top lake. Summer of 1972 .

[Linked Image]

Some random trapping photos from different states in the mid to late 1970's and one is in the late 80's. We had no coyotes to speak of back in these early years.

Only a sighting of one being shot during hunting season now and then. I caught the first documented coyote in 1988 in our area not far from our place. It was a big deal at that time, newpaper article etc. Things sure have changed in 45 years.

[Linked Image]

Early 1980's caught pulling orders in an old facility. An old kodak 124 camera photo. Very poor lighting in our old building in those times.
