I made a roasted chicken surrounded by garden stuff!

I stuffed a chicken with garden thyme and rosemary and a cut up lemon and slathered it with butter and salt and pepper. I set the chicken in a roasting pan and around it, I added piles of Zim's great garden goodies: potatoes, carrots, onions, more thyme and rosemary, some broccoli and a ton of garlic cloves, all tossed in salt, pepper and olive oil.

[Linked Image]

After it was done, all of those garden goodies were roasted in pan juices from chicken, lemon, herbs butter and olive oil.

[Linked Image]

I carved the chicken right in the pan and left all the pieces soaking in the juices. Zim and I dove into it like a couple of cave people. laugh I am so lucky!

What are you all enjoying tonight? I know it'll be great!

Amazing as always Patrice!. Wife had a friend over to plan their trip to Ireland next year. Also, couple of daughters had friends over so I cooked. Crusted baked chicken breast, mashed, two gravy choices, home frozen corn, chicken rice and dinner rolls. Cheese dip as a app. and smores for dessert. Guests were happy! I am starting dishes lol!

Thanks, Soap! The BLTs are back now. That is so nice. When I saw "fries and gravy" I knew you were in Canada!!! I posted turkey kabobs (with bacon and water chestnuts), but no deep fried nuggets.

Thank you, Thomas! I'll bet your guests were happy. What a meal!

Thank you, Les! Your supper sounds great. Were those potatoes and onions from your garden?

Thanks, Bruce!

Made some burger patties on one of my outdoor griddles while downing a couple beers. Covered them with caramelized onions and then with Smoked Gouda slices melted to perfection. Brought them into the house to be slathered with a Salsa the Wonderful Wife makes with homegrown Arugula, several varieties of homegrown tomatoes, and a good amount of bacon, double-smoked by Bubba's Meats in La Crosse.

Life is good!

Nice, TrapShack! Wonderful reason to go out. I don't suppose you put a dollop of sour cream on top of that. laugh

What a masterpiece, Moosey! Every component! Most importantly, the smiles on the faces of both of you. I'm glad you two are having fun!

All good, Les!

Thanks, Sharon! When looking for a chicken, we looked at Ginger and told her she looked delicious, but ultimately bought a chicken at the store! Gotta keep those girls in line. laugh
