Finally getting around to trying to re one of the bathrooms on the house the handles and valves are corroded and won't even turn so wanna just cut everything out and replace the whole deal what would y'all say would be the easiest way to re do this ? Buy a shower/tub kit. It will have the shower/tub mixer valve or valve body and you can go from there. If you want what you currently have and aren't redoing the shower/tub get the valve body. I would not reuse the pipe going to the tub. May have to reuse the pipe going to the shower if that is the only access you have. Use new fittings that go from the supply line to the valve/don't use the threaded cpvc fitting they have on there. Get a brass fitting that has a cpvc connector to it.

I know you just put them on but I would cut it off below those valves and not reinstall new ones. Those valves work at first but after a few years will not turn(at least with our water even if it is soft).

Are you also re-doing the tub surround? If so, go to a single handle valve, cut the pipes below those valves, and buy a 10' stick of PEX pipe. Buy compression bands and a crimping tool, (they are not expensive anymore), and proper fittings as needed.
If you are not re-doing the tub surround, good luck finding that type of valve new.

Just doing what I want now.

Google search "shower tub valve body" and you can find what you currently have.

If it was me I'd cut it low, switch to copper, and replace everything.

My one and only adventure with pex ended up
1/2" and lack of water pressure.
The hose bib fed by 3/4" pvc has plenty pressure.

Glad to hear the tools adjusted price.
I'll go bigger next time.
