About 20 years ago, a young girl got off her school bus to walk to her home. Her neighbors dogs attacked and killed her in view of a bus full of kids.

Of course the dogs were put down. Their owners had no assets, so a civil law suit was pointless. What criminal penalty would be appropriate.

It's clearly a trick, if you guys meet up for drinks, one of you guys is going to wake up afterwards in chains as a non paid field hand. I'm just not sure which one.

The Kangal shakes the pitbulls like a terrier does a rat. Kangals have 3 1/2 times the bite force of a pitbull and about 6 times the mass. Their bite is 300 psi higher than an African lion. They are a non aggressive breed, but a very protective one.

They tried using Kangals for police and military work, but the Kangals didn't want to bite people, even when commanded to do so. The only time they could reliably get them to bite people was if the handler was "attacked". They then did so much damage, because of their massive size, bite force and tendency to bite the head and neck, that they could only be used in a lethal situation.

Muslims are getting all dogs banned in parts of most European countries and in parts of the US including places in New York, Michigan, Virginia and Texas. Large numbers of people have been attacked by muslims for walking dogs near mosques, enough so that may Western cities now put up signs preventing dogs near them.

If pitbulls are banned, all large and medium breeds will be at risk of being banned and even some of the tiny ones like chihuahuas, which frequently bite people.

If I don't like something, I don't feel obligated to make sure other people can't have it. I just don't get it. I wish everyone felt the same way.

Keith

Your dogs are different from pitbulls because pitbulls have been selectively bred for gameness, which makes them more likely to attack other dogs and people, and to persist in their attack once they engage. Shelters are overwhelmed with pitbulls from families that couldn't handle them; they should be culled, not re-homed.

I personally have no use for pit bulls especially as a family dog. The ones that have them and love them use the argument that it’s all about how you raise them. That’s crap. There are plenty of cases where the dog was raised up from a pup in a loving family and one day the dog decides to attack a family member for no reason or attack an innocent child or passerby on the street. One video I remember seeing was a man holding his child getting out of their car while a man and his pit bull were across the street. The dog charges the man holding his child and he pulls out his pistol and kills the dog. Those dogs were bred for a reason and it wasn’t to be pets.

If im against 10 year olds from driving and against 13 year olds from being able to buy dynamite at the hardware story am i also anti 2nd amendment by your broad logic? Too many citizens are not sensible and responsible enough to own a animal as dangerous as a pit bull. Unlike the 2nd amendment a pitbull serves no necessary purpose for most people. If you had a real purpose to own them for say hog hunting then go through a regulatory process to own them.

The idea you presented by comparing regulating pitbulls to gun rights is pretty broad if you start getting into the logic behind it. Id be surprised if you didnt think it was alright for the government to regulate something which would make your simple logic of directly comparing gun rights to regulating pitbull ownership look a bit ignorant from my point of view.

If it’s your “right” to own a pit bull, it’s my “right” to put a hole in its head if it so much as looks side ways at me or my family.
