Funny that you mentioned it. It wasn't any of your knives that caused the issue, but one of my boys did manage to get a little cut on his finger. George left his knife in a poor spot, and little Trapper got ahold of it. I should have been keeping a better eye on things.

Those boys are awful excited to get all those skinning knives home and sorted out. And Elmer is still talking about her beaver trap. Thank you again for that wonderful gift.

I always wanted to name a boy "Elmer". When my bride was pregnant, my oldest boy and I got to discussing names. He figured if you put the letter "a" at the end of "Elmer", it'd be a good name for a girl. I was quite surprised when we had a girl instead of another boy. We named her Elmera, but I've always called her Elmer unless she was in trouble.
