Witch do you prefer and witch one gives you the bigger pan. Does anyone have the dimensions for the wild river 1.5

If I only had one handy but here’s the 1 3/4s size

#2 pan which I would put on any #3 trap like a Duke or Victor as they are an elongated #2

I like wild river but both have their merits in certain situations

Think I’ll order a few of each I’m curious about the 1.5 wild river. I was tinkering around today and found a Duke 1.75 pan fits the 1.5 trap so I don’t know if it would be worth it to order the Wild rivers as far as size gained

Duke pan is 21/2 by 2 1/8 but tapers down at the end

Buy the Wild River pans. Much better than the Barkers.

Have used the Barkers since they were put on the market. I have them on most all of my mink traps. Still using them after many years. They are handy and an easy quick attachment to your trap pan. They bend on ocassion but an easy fix when that happens.

They bend right back if they need adjusted to allow your levers to have more clearance etc. Wild River is certainly a high quality product and heavier steel, both will work.

Are the Barkers pans the sole survivor of the big two page advertisement of Barker Trapline Products? I remember a big spread in The Trapper in the early eighties. I have used them and they work well. Planning on trying a couple dozen on some 11’s this season

Yes they did some good advertising in the early years.

I use the Barkers on all my #11's and have been very happy with them for years and I have over a hundred of them. When I first decided to use them I thought the coon would tear them off but it very seldom happens. I've never tried the Wild River pans so can't comment on them.
