A bar near my place has an outside sheltered area for smokers. I don't smoke and I never liked people smoking the place up when I was trying to eat in the past.

There is a billiard parlor a couple of miles from me that often has 40+ vehicles in its parking lot. I wonder if smoking is allowed inside.

Just reading this made me smoke a cigarette.

Remember when you had to adjust to your differences growing up. You had to learn to do things you really didn't like. If you were lucky you learned to adapt. You learn that you are not always in control. Also learned that you have to choose to walk away. The most people that don't like the smell of smoke are former smokers that quit. I am in agreement that there should be places without smoking in public. But I don't want laws taking away my freedom to smoke when I am outdoors or in my own house.

Simple question. If it was more profitable for bars to be non-smoking establishments.... why does it require laws to force them to become that?

Because some smokers would light up just to irritate others.

My VFW Post banned smoking a few years ago, caused quite the whoop-de-do! We had to decide whether to ban, or replace the smoke eaters, decision still stands, and suits me fine. Same thing with the Bingo Hall, we had a drop in patronage, but it's slowly picking back up.

Only in the Hookah bars-no tobacco though.
