Was up in the tree this morning over a wallow and had a bunch of piglets come in real quick before busting back into he brush, was like five of them and every single one of these was a Oreo, black head white middle black back end . I'm used to seeing that in maybe one or two out a bunch but every one ? crazy

You ran upon the keebler elves herd. They are rare but come out of the hollow tree in august to recruit cookie makers for the holiday seasons

Hampshire hogs are a common domestic breed.

Hampshire is the modern domestic and is in back of many others as well such as the berkshire but the color pattern is very old going back to the now extinct Essex pig which went into the Hampshire. The genes must be pretty common as it crops up in most pigs. I've even seen red white red so I assume the red is a dun gene like in cattle where any black carriers can throw a dun.

I strongly suspect that black/white/black pattern became a fad back in the Victorian era when formalized breed improvement/shows became a thing as we see the formalization of breeds like the belted galloway and dutch belted cattle, essex/hampshire pigs, lakenvelder chickens.
