. After being down for several weeks recovering from surgery I was finally able to get a few sets out on a place close to my house. First night I had some issues with diggers and side steppers so I adjusted a set or two and picked up these two. The next night I picked up one more. This black one makes the 3 rd I have caught.

Hope you have a top on that enclosure or a bend over canopy.

Most folks remake and hope for the best, then get a repeat performance. Very few counter.

The Piney Woods is a hard place to make a living. Those two contestants are proof.
Those coyotes are living paycheck to paycheck. You know they won't pass up a good fresh bait.
High summer temps may hamper coyote movement, but not your ability to reel them in.

Went back out and checked over my previous area for sign and found a couple sets of tracks . So I set out 5 sets and boxed up these 2 the next morning.

Way to go.

Slick haired bugger's you have down there this time of year. At least these look like coyotes. I think all the colors those eastern coyotes come in are pretty cool but I'll never get used to looking at ones like those first two.
