I didn't want to hijack the other thread about feet. Does anyone have a simple fure for Plantar Warts, I have one on each foot and at times they are quite painful.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I googled it.

Duct tape can also help remove plantar warts by covering the wart for several days, then soaking and filing it down repeatedly.

Had one on my heel long time ago.It grew to about the size of a quarter
I bought a bottle of that wart remover from the drugstore and put lots on the wart,at bedtime covered it with a large bandaid to keep the juice on the wart and went to sleep.
Woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like my heel was on fire.Next morning I peeled off the bandaid to have a look and the wart was all black. It turned into a scab after a couple days and you could see it was not just one big wart but a cluster of small ones.
After a while it just healed over and no more wart ever came back.Still have a scar on my heel where it was.
How is your pain tolerance?

I once had one that was getting painful and I scheduled an appointment with the dermatologist because the home remedies were not working for me.
She said that it was one of the bigger ones she has seen. She scrapped on it to expose it and then put medicine on it. She said that she didn’t think the medicine would do anything to a wart that big and to come back and see her if it didn’t. Lucky for me, the medicine took, and it went away.

Google also says that you can try to remove it yourself. I’ve tried it and it was very painful. You gotta remove the scabby skin and look for the black dot. That’s the “main artery” if you will, for the wart. That’s what it’s living on. So you gotta try to pull that thing out. I couldn’t bare the pain so I went to see the doc. Feel free to try it though

Not Plantars warts, but I had tiny ones on the sides of my palms that grew in a line, had them for years, then I went on a garlic oil pill for some reason and I realized after a while those things had disappeared, and never came back.

I'd try soaking that wart in garlic oil and cover it, might not work, and you'll smell like a pizza, but it won't hurt anything! grin

Had one on ball of my foot. Went a couple few times to the dr’s and nothing worked. Last visit the dr walked out as was the nurse when she turned around and closed the door. Told me to get those little black seeds/dots out and it would heal. By George she was right. As stated above, it’s rather painful. I did myself but it’s over in a couple minutes. Bite on a leather belt and start digging!

Tools-sharp thin knife/razor blade to shave calloused skin away, not painful. Once wart is exposed, tweezers and needle to pick out black seeds. Eye watering painful

I had one that I tried over the counter medicine on.. didn't work. Went to the doctor and after several times of him freezing it, it finally went away. The skin on the bottom of your foot is thick and that tends to resist treatment.

Don't know about simple... I have had them off and on for years. a few years ago I had 7 on one foot. Was going to go to the doctor as I was tired of them. Put on my rubber boots to weed eat and something bit me on the top of my foot. Pretty sharp pain, spider bite. Spot blistered 3 different times to the size of a nickel. Was red and warm to the touch. Never went to the doctor for that. Right after that all the warts were gone. Mentioned it to a doctor and said when the body was fighting the spider bite it got rid of the warts as well.

Thanks for the input, my wife has been treating it with an over the counter thingy. It has a little black dot you put on the wart and then a little band aid about the size of a dime. You are to change it every 48 hours, Dr Scholl's.. I am not flexible enough to see the bottom of my feet so I never saw a little black thing like several of you have mentioned. Yesterday when I took a shower and took the little band aid off to change it I felt loose skin, I had my wife cut the loose skin away and I no longer have the pain, she said she did not see a black thingy.

Duct tape works. Just put a small piece over the wart and leave it until the wart comes off. It will leave a small depression where the wart was.
t takes a few weeks but will work, my nice did this and the dang wart come off.

Doc used Liquid Nitrogen and swabbed it on. Gone in a week or so.

the liquid nitrogen cure is extremely effective and about 100 percent, just don't burn off anything important if you do it yourself.. Semen tanks on a dairy or deer farm contain liquid nitrogen and it's been used many times successfully by friends and family.

the OTC liquid and duct tape worked for my son fwiw.. I had to use the above..

I has some kind of wart on one of my fingers. I kep cutting the skin off that built up kind of like a calluse. One time I saw something black down in the middle thinking it was a thorn or splinter I got it out. It keep coming back though. At this point I didn't know it was a wart. One time I went after the black thing and got ahold of it well and pulled it out it hurt like it was really attached down deep. I put the black thing in a baby food jar and went to the doc. Doc said it was a seed wart and numbed up my finger and had some electric thing that burnt my skin where he touched it then when a good amount was burnt he cut it off and burnt more and repeated untill he thought he was deep enough that he got it.

It healed up fast and came right back. When it got bothersome I would cut at it and pull out the black thing when I could get ahold of it. Had it for many more months. Eventually I realized it had gone away. No damage scar or indentation.

Liquid Bandage works great. Apply on and around the planter wart and let dry. Apply again the same way. Keep adding a layer or two every couple days

Mine crippled me in my 20s and early 30s. Surgery helped some. Nitric acid was the cure. Aren’t they viral?

Some of my friends and several younger office employees also had them. I wonder if it is age related. Don’t hear about it from senior friends. We get gout.

Ask your podiatrist about a strong blend of nitric acid. That knocked mine out when nothing else worked.

What is your age now?
