Who wants to bet that when this tariff stuff gets settled or things change, the price will still only rise? That’s why if I see a deal, I usually buy it whether I need it or not. I’ve kicked myself for not scooping up the deal, but I’ve never been sorry that I’ve got too much ammo, traps, cable, ferrules……list goes on………lol

It’ll be interesting(,,,,and kinda sad) to see how many of the Canadian trap manufacturers are still in business a few years down the road
Elbozo’s up!
Maybe Boco can keep them in business.

Don't think a beaver knows what trap they died in, Duke, Victor, they all work. They all kill beaver (and otter), but up until Duke copied the Belisle design on jaws and spring latches I preferred Belisles. There are few things more aggravating than the spring eyes going around the jaw corners, especially when an otter escapes because it did that. Or, fumbling with those floppy spring latches that you have to slide towards the jaws to get them to release on a cold day with the trap submerged...and they sometimes release when you don't want them to. And lastly, a fired trap with beaver or otter hair on the jaws where that body part pulled out because they dont close completely....it happens. The Belisle design (and the new Duke) is not for the beaver...it's for me.

Maybe Boco can keep them in business. Lots of Canadian trappers to keep them in Buisness With lots of young trappers graduating every year and taking up the family lines. More Indiginous groups buying loads of traps to distribute to their members also. As for Myself,I am downsizing a lot of traps that I have that are obsolete. As far as marten traps those are mostly LDL with a few belisles same with the beaver traps.I have more than enough than I will ever need. I hope to put on some informal trapping instructions for young trappers on the rez who want to learn efficient and effective methods of taking marten beaver otter lynx and any other species that intrsts them. Get them out on all their currently mostly vacant traplines.

Well now that roughy 1 in 4 Canucks are 1st generation immigrants, and that number is continuing to rise yearly, it won’t be long Boco til you can try and train the real Indians to trap. Just a guess, but I’m thinking that won’t go over very well with the powers that be…

Im an immigrant whats your point? First gen, Boco? If so...where are you from? You can't expect manufacturers to sell things for less than it costs to produce them, can you? trappers do that all the time... Because the vast majority of trappers are hobby trappers. If a man was trying to support a family by fur trapping he would give up the idea after the first season due to having to sell pelts for less than it costs to produce them. Or else keep trapping and sign up for welfare to let the gov't support his family since he can't.

Probably tells them how lousy the USA is while he's at it too.
I doubt a bunch of natives and what few trappers ARE ALLOWED to trap in Canada is enough to keep belisle going since ONLY people with registered traplines can trap up there!
I like the holding power of a belisle but don't really like using them as they don't fit H stands worth a flip and can't cross stick them like you can other type 330's, i have a set that i have to do that with and it's not possible with a belisle.
As for springs flopping around and otter and beaver getting out, SW it sounds like you got some of those flimsy weak Sleep Creek junk 330's a long time ago. Those were the worst 330's ever invented.

Boco was born in Ireland. Haven't you guys been paying attention?
The manufacturer didn't raise the price the trap suppliers buy the traps for the same price and then pay the tarriff when it crosses the border.
