Have you ever reloaded .380 cartridge and jacked it up a little? They say theyre reloadable even though its a small brass. Anybody?

They are small, finger pinching little buggers. And "jacking anything up" when reloading is a great way to find out what the slide tastes like. Shoot factory ammo or follow the recipes in the book. If you start "jacking them up" shoot them with your left hand ONLY. That will save your good hand for wiping the rest of your life.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Yeah instead of trying to get it to go faster than it was designed for just get a 9mm or 38 special. If you still want more a 357 magnum and there is always the 357 maximum.

I played around reloading A LOT of different calibers . I have the scares from my younger dumber days of doing it when I went on the hot side. Words of wisdom if you need to make it faster get a different caliber. I am all in reloading and trying different powders and loads but I don’t exceed the books anymore.

I did that with my first reload of .45. It stung a bit and trashed a Smith and Wesson but still have all ten. Just looking for a lightweight pocket gun. Guess Ill stick with a .380 ACP or a Ruger 9LT. Have to weigh the two in person and decide.

almost all 380 are direct blow back not delayed so they are never locked up.

Mo powder not mo better

you can run 9 major in some very well built guns very few if any 380acp are well built enough to take that unless you have maybe found a Beretta full size in 380 in country that prohibits military cartridges for civilians

if you were say in Mexico and had a full size gun chambered in 380 you might be able to go hotter.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
