Yes sir, when you use salt cured fish for bait, do you do anything to freshen it up, or do you just dig it out of the salt and throw it in the bait hole? I've been reading about it for years, but I've never played with it.

When ive used it it was mixed in a formulation with other ingredients for coyotes or bobcats. Im not much of a water trapper. But if i was after water critters id maybe try some shellfish or shrimp essence if you wanted to stay with a fishy theme. But im sure better water trappers probably have better input.

I have some ingredients that i use that seem to be getting as hard to get as the ones you use...

I Rinse off the salt in the stream, pond, crick, river etc... toss in the hole.
Squirt of fish oil.
Done

That what I did, freeze all mine now
