Money printing causes inflation.
Inflation is the highest form of taxation of the value producing citizen.

Our economy is growing at about 2% our current inflatio rate is in the mid to upper 3% and our national debt is going up at 6%. Unfortunately in our current political culture we don't like to solve math problems that involve money.

Look at the big picture we are failing rapidly. Baby mama/daddies are having 10 kids living on welfare and responsible working folks are having 2-3 kids. We are being out-reproduced at a rapid pace. Nearly 50% of the population is on government teat along with nonessential government "jobs". Now politicians are openly campaigning for socialism. Capture the billionaires money for socialism and they will stop producing.

"Vote for me, and we'll cut the Debt."

still waiting for them to "fix" it.

still waiting for the economy to fail because of it.

wake me up if/when it happens.

I remember they fixed this in the 90's

My youngest son and his girlfriend just rented a townhouse together, $2800/mo. I thought that was crazy but they don't seem to care. lol

Yikes, that’s double my mortgage on a home and 20 acres, more than double when you consider exchange.

not arguing there haven't been impacts. Inflation is very, very real.

but the economy hasn't collapsed...yet!

maybe it will "someday"...

When one does financial planning for ourselves or families we look at how we want or need debt to do what we would like to do. There is such a thing as "good" debt versus "bad" debt. Those who figure that out can manage with debts. Those who don't have issues. I don't know how much of our 40 trillion would be considered "bad debt" A lot of our debt monies goes back into the economy. How much of that is for non asset creating versus consumer spending my contribute to the severity of increased debt and debt costs. Another thought is that those investing in our national debt are looking for "safe" places to store monies. Those types of investments do little to grow our economy.
