In all fairness , id go back too just due to kids being school age. I’m not sure there are poorer systems out there than the North American model. (Yes, I’m including Canada)

The royals all go to high end uppity private schools, we got those here too...

I’m aware. I am just not positive that private schools in Canada and the US have students staying on top of mandatory learning by requiring them to complete many assignments during the summer. I could definitely be wrong on that, but I did spend time in London this summer in a house with two high schoolers working hard on school assignments during their summer break.

in most of the states , any one who is anyone is sending their kids to private school.

less so in WI in smaller towns but down south private schools are Massive and very well funded.

Are the students at these schools required to complete tasks all summer long? Even if so, let’s not pretend or North American model is any good. Read about the Russian kid was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in June in round 1 the kid moved to the us to further the hockey dream and was taking finance at a US university by 16 as he’d learned all of the high school courses in middle school in Russia. He spoke about the ease of the education here.

Education has definitely been dumbed down in America over the years....I'm sure though there are schools that provide good and rigorous programs, But on average, it's not looking good, Don't know about Canada, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not the same.
