First some of my first batch made from grape juce. I thought to take a picture of it befor droping it off for dad. He tried it befor I took it home and put it in smaller bottles and likes it dry. It smelles very fruity and is very smooth and drinkable if you like it dry. Wht I keep for my wife I back sweeten just a bit. Reminds me a lot of Oliver's soft red if you have had that. It was a bit more clear befor I transported it back to my house from dad's to bottle. There was condensation on the bottel as well since I had it chilling befor taking that up to dads incase he wanted to start on it right away.

Glad it turned out. I've never tried making it, but have thought about it.

Its cheap and easy to experiment with. That was just bottled grape juice.
And some sugar and yeast an airlock an dbung that fit the bottel it came in from the store will work. I mixed it gal in a wide mouth glass jar to have head space i then moved a quart back to one of the jugs it came in and put a bung and air lock in both. Im glad I did becuse it fomed up enough the star sand ( sanitizer can use voka or just water) in my airlock got some juice pushed into it and got a slight purple color. Had i filled it to the top i think I would have had a blow off and large mess.

I always wanted to try it out took me over a decade to follow through. Had I went by how it tasted right after primary fermentation was done I would think nope tast bad and quit. Letting it sit makes all the difference..

I have 3 gallons going now 4 weeks in of apple up in dad's basement. The cooler temps of 64° vs my kitchen in mid 70s are really slowing things down but should make it more smooth faster from what I read.
