Sevins is the same active ingredient as the TC wisdom flowable

bifenthrin

the TC wisdom concentrate is 7.9% the Sevins is 1%

both would work

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Sevin Dust is what I use on all unwanted nests/hives that aren't underground, it is very effective. I use gas on the in-ground nests.

Eh...wot?

After two years of doing this, I haven't seen any for the last two years. Very effective when done early in the year when queen's are relocating. This is way before you have them at your feeders and picnics

So the original hole is yellow jacket free.

The newer one is interesting. I marked it yesterday and Zim filled it with gasoline but didn't light it. This morning, we have swarm of yellow jackets around the jelly feeder and a couple staggering around the hole. I walked down there and watched for a while. It wreaks of gasoline and I see yellow jackets still using it, but appearing to be a bit disoriented. We wondered if that hole takes sharp turn just underground and the bulk of the gas didn't get far into it?

Tonight, we will fill 'em up and light 'em up! (Again!) laugh laugh laugh

I should add that down by the hole we can't use anything the chickens could consume, so some great solutions are off the table. Also, since our little pests only want jelly, we can't use the canned chicken idea. We did that one year and had them ignore that bait and go for the jelly that year as well. We don't want to steal the jelly and the hummingbird nectar from the birds, so it's gasoline warfare for now!

When I use the gas down the hole trick, I always put something over the hole to block them and the fumes in.

Soap, some folks say that the fumes will permeate and kill them better than lighting them up. BigBob I assume that's what you're doing, and it works for you? We could try that next. It's awfully hard not to light them up though!!!

Alright Patrice, let's do some math here.

If you pour a gallon of premium gas down in that hole, it cost you roughly $4.

If you want to make the gas sticky, add some styrofoam cups into the mix. It will help "gel" the mixture.

DROWN THEM!!!

Just walk slowly and gently. They are sensitive to vibrations. Easy does it.

Thanks, bowhunter. We are walking verrrry softly! Zim is thinking has used about a pint or less in a hole. Are you igniting your gas and Styrofoam mixture?

Herard they changed the formula on Sevin. figures as it worked well. used an old dish soap squezz bottle and squit a generous amount ino the hole, do it after dark and leave a flash light close by as they will go towards the light.
