Clean the crabs live, then freeze. Icing them down makes the process easier, for you at least, lol

I have always wondered, what part of those crabs do you eat? I buy the Alaskan crabs where you eat the claws. Doesn't seem like there would be much to eat on the blue crabs.

There isn't, but what's there is very good..

The meat is in "sections" in the cleaned body, that you pick out, the claws have a decent amount too. Bigger the crab the more meat, you pick the meat from cooked crabs after they're cleaned... it's somewhat tedious but you get faster with practice, lol

All we've ever done.
Just picked, packed tight, and sealed well before vacuum sealer come along
