I would want some very strong references before I would let “a stranger” house or pet sit for me. Also a background check and some sort of “insurance waiver or liability policy” or what ever you want to it. Especially if I’m rich enough to afford a house sitter.

Lots of slick characters out there these days.

[Dubuque has a Lowe's and a Menards. I think a delivery driver job for an auto parts store would be a good fit. Keep in mind I dont think they pay very well but it's a job. It's going to be first shift as that's when shops are open.

Doubt Dave would be a good fit working at Subway or food service or that type of position. Just being honest.

Second shift job would be security work or housekeeping at a business.

maybe try hardware stores and farm stores

or find a fork lift job little easier on the knees

Nephew makes $200/day feeding/walking 2 dogs twice a day.
