We’ll be going over to visit Montana and Glacier national park for a couple of days and then heading to Oregon for a few more days around portland, tillamook, salem.
Any cool places to see, things to do, good restaurants to eat in?

Been to Glacier twice, once in September and another time in June. Beautiful park. Lot of hiking trails and horse mounted trails. I did not spend time in Portland but landed there and spent 3 days in Tilllamook. I was there visitng a lot of dairy farms as it was an Ag trip. Neat cheese factory among other things. North to Astoria you will be where the Lewis and Clark expedition wintered before heading back to St louis. Lot of really beautiful scenery along the Oregon coast down to Florance, Coos Bay etc.

Not sure what routes you’re taking, but the Buffalo Bill Museum and the Old Town Village in Cody Wyoming is worth it. Take a full day there. Can’t recall what the fee was at Old Town, but the BB Museum was $23 for a 2 day pass. If you’re really into firearms, you’ll need the full 2 days there…..lol

As you’re driving whatever route you’re on, you’ll see things to check out along the way. So many things that I didn’t know about…….my plans kinda went out the window and we just winged it after Cody.

I'll second both the Buffalo Bill museum and the Tillamook cheese factory. Other than that, well I hunted all up and down the Oregon coast when I was young, but I spent my time in the woods, not sightseeing. There did used to be a really good restaurant I ate at a few times when coming or going from hunting, named for a logging camp. Camp 6, I think?

Been a long time since I drove through Glacier, I think I was a teenager, and don't really remember anything special that stood out, just that it was some pretty country. But they have the Buffalo Range not too far away, and that was kind of interesting to drive through and see the buffalo. Been about as long since I've actually been through on tour roads in it, but I drive through on the highway once in a while and can often see them from there some. If you're there and aren't in too much of a hurry, you may as well drive over Thompson Pass, rather than dropping down and taking I-90, it is a prettier drive, and all that country is actually open to hunt and trap in, unlike the parks. Not uncommon to see a bunch of bighorns along the highway by Thompson Falls, either.

Contact each states tourism board and request a guide from each state , I'm sure each will gladly send you more information that you can,ever imagine !
