I ordered some gun leather from horse hide. They claimed sweat wouldn't sock through it as easy as cow. I dont know if it cane through as easy but my glock was still wet.

Wife's grandfather said horse was good and tasted sweet he liked it.

I have had horse meat several times and it is some good table fare.I really like it smoked.

There's no money in it, just like no kill shelters, ( in reality they can't feed all of them) keep popping up everywhere.

We have dog licenses in Ohio, actually stopped all the wild dog packs that killed sheep and other live stock back in the 1950's.
Feral cat shelters, now I know of 3 in the county, asking for the dog license money to help them operate.

Irresponsible cat owners let their cats run the streets, get pregnant, have a bunch of kittens, they don't want.
To solve the problem, they see a cat colony, and dump a bunch more kittens into it.

In large areas of the West wild horses are destroying the habitat. They need to be managed

If the horses in the green mountains of wy are on blm or forest service why wouldn't the be gathered?

Wolf, horse slaughter is not illegal in the usa, the government cut funding for inspections thru usda so the meat can't legally be sold .

Horses sales have been going on since 2004 and the burns amendment was passed.This is nothing new once sold or the adoption contract completed and the animal becomes private property and that owner can sell it or do as the choose to wiyh it.

Donner , there should be some solid minded horses on the next blm online corral event. Look for a gelding from the Owyhee herd area , pick one you like the looks of about 2 years old. These are dependents of some of the big Ramadas on some big ranches in Nevada.

Look to see how close to you the blm will ship it. If you have some questions about herd areas reach out or how the olc works.

In othere words the less time the horses have been breeding on their own in the wild the better they are.

These have been feral for as long as any of the others just from stock that were used bybthe ranches. Like the IL, the Spanish, and a couple others some still have a cavy and a wagon each spring.
