Good morning, I have some Sleepy Creek 1.5 Offsets and I am wondering if this trap was mainly designed for fox? I was debating using them for coon but being an offset, probably not the best choice, thoughts??

My opinion...one heck of a multi species land trap. Built right very sturdy and great springs...could get by very well trapping coyotes with it. My only suggestion would be to POSSIBLY replace the twin loop chain with a machine chain or twist link version.

I prefer closed jaws on coon. Off set seems like it would be more likely to have pull outs. That said I have held plenty of coons in my off set mb 550 and off set bridger #2 dog less that got in my coyotes sets. But have also had a few pull out.

Thats what I figured, I have some 1.75s as well I might sell the lot or trade them , I have all the land traps I can handle currently and am not much of an offset guy.

Back foot your coon and you'll be fine :-)
