Guys,, needing some help and suggestions on were to find affordable, reliable heavy socks. Instead of hours of scrolling I thought I?d ask you guys. I wear knee high Irish setter snake boots daily.. I like how they feel on my feet and support to my calves and ankles and my feet aren?t as tired and sore at the end of the day. The place where I usually got mine is no longer in business and the ones I have have been patched so many times that they are just about done for.
Thanks in advance guys

Be surety read the % of merino wool. Lots of misleading advertising on merino socks.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

your description of worn out boots , I think you need new boots
that can hurt your feet , legs , knees , back , hips
you can hurt all over walking in worn out boots that have broke down.
you can sometimes feel so good after replacing broke down shoes that a week of new shoes and you think you turned back the clock several years
they wear out slow so you don't notice the slow decline then you are like darn I feel old at the end of the day
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

So you said a heavy sock, not sure if your looking for a warm sock. Maybe close to 20 years ago, I bought the lifetime wool socks from Redhead. At the time, there was free shipping over $125, so at the price then, I ordered 13 pairs. After time, they started looking pretty wretched, I boxed them up with a copy of my original receipt, sent them in, and they sent me 13 new pair of socks along with a receipt at the current price. These socks are just great and if I live to be maybe 200 years old or so, figuring in captiol appreciation, my socks should be somewhere close to free. Of course, not counting inflation and shipping.
The Beaver and the Bear will show the way.

I saw something where they got sued trying to not honer that warranty any longer a while back.

Wigwam and Fox River are two brands of socks I wear regularly. They are good quality. Both manufacturers have a lot of different styles to choose from.
Eh...wot?

I?m not sure if Mr Socko shows up at your conventions, but his stuff outlasted Darn Tough X 2. Green lighter socks and the brown are heavy. $2 a pair. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2026/08/full-56418-299750-image.jpg) I picked up a few pairs of alpaca wool socks to try this winter. They arent cheap though.
