I can't wait to see pictures of the diaper eating vermin. You have to love MN. You need to pay if you want to:
- apply for a tag.
-Pay for a tag if you are actually drawn.
-Pay again if you want to use a barrel at your bait station.

There should be a bounty on them, not a season.

Agree 160. My son is hunting. 2 baits out and approximately 12 - 14 bears combined on the 2 baits. The state has no idea how many bears we have.

That is amazing! My neighbors have corn planted this year so my back 40 is nothing but a bear bedding area. They are eating cameras, chewing on deer stand legs and tearing up my apple trees. There certainly isn't a shortage of them!

Doesn't seem to be much for natural food this year. The berries are done and not much for acorns. Have had many pictures up the nose of bears. Surprisingly they haven't chewed the cameras, yet.

100% agree no idea of how many bears out there,7 years to draw,3 baits out 26 to 28 bears on them hard to keep track of each bear.WAY TOO MANY and so many shows with 3 cubs,hate to see what it will look like in a couple of years,5 dollars to use a barrel ?????More money for the DNR that they don't need!!!!!!!

One bait with a sow with two cubs plus other bears. One bait with a sow and four cubs plus other bears. The population is just going to go up.

I've got one bait out. At least 9 bears hitting it.
The guide I help has got a bunch of bears on baits. I believe they killed five today, and a couple guys passed because it's the first day.

I passed a small boar. I very nearly killed a sow that really wanted to be in the tree with me. She was about four feet from the end of my barrel when she stopped. We talked things over, and she eventually went back to her cubs and finished her dinner.

Bears mighty lucky you didn't climb down and embarrass her Infront of her younguns.

For sure hard on cameras. I don't understand the attraction?

Lol, Donner. I spose I could have put her over my knee and gave her a good education.

I'm glad I didn't have to kill her. Her cubs were only about forty pounds each. No chance that they would have survived without her.

She acted kinda goofy. When I finally got her to stop, she folded her ears back and started rocking her head side to side. I was really curious about what she was going to do. After 15-20 seconds she climbed back down the ladder.

But,no hound hunting allowed because sitting over a barrel of twinkies is so much more sporting.

Last he posted on facebook was 2 down early last evening.

No bears here but my lack of success may have been aided by taking my ants in her pants five year old out with me. She didn’t start kindergarten until today and really wanted to come, and she was so happy even though we didn’t get a bear. We saw a gray squirrel, red squirrels, a booner chipmunk, a $45 looking skunk, and a broad winged hawk. She got to watch a few episodes of Bluey and Carl the Collector to keep her entertained on and off, and she led the way out of the woods in the dark with her headlamp. No bears, but I think it was worth the sacrifice. Worst part was, she has allergies and is all congested and sounds like a gorilla when she breathes…..which you don’t notice terribly until you’re in a stand trying to hear other things! lol. Bear came in 30 minutes after we left the stand. They been eating bait like crazy here also. Almost glad only one of my baits is getting hit! Happy trapping! ScottW
