Congrats on the bear!

Was talking to my idiot BIL last night, he had recently moved to the Golden Colorado area....says the bears are out during the day wandering the streets, lol
Plenty of opportunity there if you can stand the liberal commie types. grin

I ate bear once. It was at a convention in NY and someone handed it to me. It was rarer than I prefer, but overall I thought it was tasty which surprised me. I later read that bear meat is supposed to be cooked well done. But..... I didn't die. LOL.

Well trimmed bear is excellent eating. It does sour quickly if not processed correctly. With a bear you don't want to wait and follow the blood trail the next morning.

Good deal, Rick! I'm glad that they got their bears.

Things have slowed down on my bait. I'll be sitting tomorrow. I hope to get in the stand at about 11:00 and sit until dark or a bear dies.

Scott i did same with my daughter at bear baits, and later when she got older to drive trk on back roads to bear baits. It was a 4 speed on floor, she did well and bet she was only girl that could drive four spd. Later up at military base at xc ski summer school she got to drive 4 speed trk back to barracks where they were staying. No other participants EVEN boys couldnt drive 4 speed !
