I don't believe this at all.
I have kicked deer out of the couple areas they regularly bed in on my place possibly hundreds of times over the years.
I'd say once at week about on average.
Yet they keep bedding in the same areas.

Neighbor kept finding probable stands on his property so confiscated them in hopes the owner would come looking for them. After 3-4 he found a note on one asking "Please do not take this stand" which he didn't. Instead he cut the tree down which just happened to land on his stand. Hasn't had a problem since.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

The does are a magnet for the "'Big Bucks"

But just as a side note the does taste every bit as good as a buck and you can't eat the antlers, antlers are for keeping the braggarts happy.

It's been going on since the 70's and the drug use craze.
Nothing is safe anymore.
I blame it on the late 60's and the hippie movement.

I had this problem. Left a note to take the stand down. Left another note. Took the stand down and left it on the ground. He put it back up. So I did what 20 Scout said. Cut the tree down. That ended it. The stand was gone the next time I looked. Slow learner I guess.

Trespassing is a huge problem around here. I found a boat in one of my ponds last week that was abandoned there.

Dang they brought in their own boat? That's wild. I found a climbing stand on the farm in my teens used it a while remember shooting a buck out of it then went one day and it was gone. Know of two loc ons I took the steps and left the stands they have been there for years
