I was Downby the old abandoned railroad tracks south of town, was looking around the pile of old railroad ties for holes that critters might be using..

Looked over and saw this cool looking bug,,
And like every idiot in every sci fi b movie from the 50s , I picked it up to have a look,,
That thing hit me and and I mean to tell ya HARD!!
My hand and forearm were in throbbing, searing pain!!

I come up out of the thicket holding my arm staggering like I’d been shot… debated on weather or not I should go to the doctor or not,,, it finally let up after a few hours…
Learned my lesson about picking odd critters up.

I messed with one before I knew what it was. I picked it up by the middle just in case it bit at one end and stung from the other.
It did not like being held at all. The way it squirmed I thought that was going hip toss me. Strong them things are.
Then I saw the stinger come out and started pointing it every direction possible.
That thing could sting a cow around the corner of a barn.
I dropped it on the ground and thought I'd do humankind a favor and squarsh it. I stepped on it with all my weight. Didn't even slow it down.
I threw in the towel. Seemed to me that was the best plan considering karma, the afterlife, or promoting good relations with extraterrestrials, which I ain't too sure that it ain't.
