Here too. The fields that are usually a little wet are getting dry, and the fields that are usually a little dry are parched. We typically buy 1000 to 1500 bales a year on top of what we make. We probably are going to need to find another 1000 beyond that this year. But we haven't had much luck finding it yet.

We are back at it again boys. Third cutting seems to be yielding about double what second did. It's making some darn nice cow chow.

And this was a couple days ago while I was getting set up to grind hog feed.

The sight of that feed mill brings back a lot of memories. Grew up running a gehl 95 and a gehl 100 making cow and hog feed.

From a 2nd cut field a couple weeks ago. Dry again here hoping for a third, we will see as armyworms are getting started.
