Looking for ideas with pics of a holder that is table top mounted to hold a drying board while you pin or staple the pelt. Any ideas & pics appreciated.
I'm looking to re-do my stainless steel fur table and want to mount a board holder on one end.

Not sure what you're asking, but is the form horizontal on the table? Can you just install a cleat/stop on one end to keep it from sliding off? No. The base of the cat, otter, fox, coon board will be on the table as I'm pinning (I mostly staple) the skirt and tail. I've seen some made from blocks of 2x4s that would hold the pelt board upright and at a slight rearward angle while adjusting and fastening the pelt. Figured some on here had created some slick ways to do this. The carpenter clamp is a good idea...just need to angle it back somehow.

My bench is along the wall, and narrow enough that I clamp a 1x2 to the edge as a lip, for the board to rest against. The board leans away, with the nose against the wall.

Simple and I may end up doing the same. If you do, just watch when you pull the back down. With the nose resting against the wall, it is easy to pull the nose off the tip of the board and pull the hide down too far. I've had to repin a few because of that.

I made one from 1X material that I could bolt to the bench. Mine didn't lean as much as Spades does, it stands up more. It is very handy and speeds up the process quite a bit. Pic?

Mine is similar, except I work on top of a freezer and the handle to open the freezer comes on top of the lid and acts the same way. That’s how I board all my Marten, Fisher, and Fox.

I've been doing this kind of stuff for years^^^^ For some reason I've decided to make something that's dedicated to the process.

I like to sit down beside the bench when pinning fur.Nose goes up against the wall and the base of the board on the floor in front of the chair, small boards like mink and marten base is on chair. Dont like standing still for long periods -hard on the old legs.
