There is no doubt that the ESA was being greatly misused and exploited by the AR crowd. So in that sense this is good.
Maybe management of endangered animals should be left in the states' hands?
I know enough to know I don't know all the answers. Why I was curious as to how others viewed it.

I think this is good news but I need to ponder it for a bit. It could be opening Pandora's box. So we can build condos on an Eagles nest now? I think the intent is good but there could be some unintended consequences. … you about to be called an anti capitalism commie boy … all these brown clown immigrants that are trained from birth to come harvest our wealth will need somewhere to live ! … and the beneficiaries of the cheap labor might fancy a condo on an eagles nest … you insensitive… xenophobic … commie piece of trash lol

… not to mention data centers and solar panel farms
… got to have em ol boy Earlier today, I was over at one of my best friend's farm. He told me they want to run power lines through his property, going from a massive, rapidly growing solar farm, to a data center being built by a popular fen, with rare plants, called Cedar Bog. He was going to the Farm Bureau meeting about it tonight. The company meeting is tomorrow night. They haven't offered him a dime and plan on taking part of his 289 acres by eminent domain. Keith

His property is roughly 1 1/2 miles deep. Over half is forest. The rest is hayfield and crop field. If it happens and they run the long way through, he's going to lose use of very significant acreage. I hope it doesn't happen, but fear you're right in believing it's coming. He'll likely lose hundreds of thousands in property value. Many people are terrified of living near high voltage power lines. Keith

While TRUELY ENDANGERED wildlife needs some protection , to include their habitat, the ESA has gone overboard at protecting wildlife and habitats the do not need protection listing but actually need management by reducing their numbers. i.e. Wolves, at least wolves here in the western states. Yes wolves might of historically been in an area, such as WA, however when they become cattle and sheep killers or are decimating the deer and elk herds, their numbers need to be reduced. Also just because the animal is in limited number in one area does not mean it it endangered of extinction worldwide. i.e. Grizzlies, wolves, yes theiright only be a couple hundred in WA and some other states but by no means are they in short supply else where. Throw in the fact that the people advocating for the reintroducyion and protecting said species are wanting them in areas where they don't live and have to contend with said species when they become a problem. Just have to ask why said species was controlled / eliminated by the people that settled an area in the first place? Maybe the bunny snugglers will wake up when kids, skinney skiers and flower sniffers start getting targeted by the apex predators instead of some ranchers livestock.

Keith That sucks he will loose. Since he will looes regardless its to bad he cant work out a lease agreement where he gets paid for his land use as well as every owner after if he sells.

Sits a 100 pluss yards off the road on a hill. Close to the farm roman brick. I would have looked into buying it a but it has large transmition lined rune across it and beside the house. Same reason some friends that looked at it when it was for asle also passed. Its an eyes sore and there may or may not be some healt issues living so close to them. You are correct about it limiting the market.

reading the whole thread ol boy sounds like he needs some spotted turtles and salamanders about where them power lines want to be. And that could well back fire and cause him to loose/limit use of his land just as well or worse.

As a hard-core conservative who can't stand either major political party, I say this is yet another example of our current residents of the swamp selling out the public interest to repay their big corporate buddies. It's simple folks, no habitat, no wildlife and it's not just happening with species listed under the ESA. Decisions by the current Washington swamp residents are negatively affecting species we all love to hunt and trap. Wake up. As stupid as the full fire suppression strategy dictated by Washington this year, ignoring local professionals, including natural fires in wilderness. Just one bad decision after another in regard to natural resources and public land management. The robber baron era has returned to America. Disagree all you want, wildlife hasn't just been a hobby or a job for me, it's been my whole life since I was a kid. Calm down Theres probably a property for you to buy Near kamel toe or osama bin Obama youll be "safe"
