Ask a direct question, might get a few answers with not too much detail. But if you word a question like it's a statement of fact you can get people to write an encyclopedia on how to do something or how something works ect .

Had a friend tell me about this and told him it seems a lil crazy though I heard the theory before. he added me to a bass fishing group he was in and said watch . Asked for some advice on getting a reel back working .... no real help , mainly just people saying buy new , better ,that jazz .. he deleted it waited a few hours came back and said something along the line of the reel sucks , the brand sucks , wonder why anyone would waste their money on it ,ect worst thing ever and explained the problem. within half an hour there where people writing multiple paragraph long responses with pictures and stuff on how to fix it , lube it , modify it ect....now there was a lot of , not nice words, with it but it worked .

Not sure why that works... past mabye playing on peoples desire to prove someone wrong or argue maybe ? kinda funny honestly.

Reminds me of a story my father told me of a guy who put a perfectly good working freezer out by the road with a big free working freezer sign on it. No one ever stopped to get it. The guy said I don’t get it why would no one want a working freezer for free!?? His brother said I have an idea. He removed the free part on the sign and put $25 on it. Then afterwards someone stopped and stole it. Folks are odd.

I think there's a couple folks who post that dream of the day the post counter comes back so they can feel important.
