Well now here is where I say I have plenty of youth guns if you want to come out and shoot with the kids after some gun safety. And those guns are available for them to use if I take them hunting.

But thats kids or a close adult friend and the guns are not handed over and taken to a different location. If they need that its time for them to buy their own. Im more of a I have some you can use and break the ice with to see if you're interested in them kind of thing.

And dont get me started on loaning out traps. I only had may 5 or 6 left after loaning them out for years. when I started trapping to teach the kids I had to go buy more.

I did take some over to a friend's and set them and show them how to release and reset them to get rid of chicken killing coon. So I didnt have to drive over and check them daily. They had the first one before I made it home. They caught several over a week. BUT I did have to ask for the traps back they were not brought back on their own. I was told they are out on the porch.

Again its typically a good way to judge character.

I would loan out a gun before any 2-stroke fueled equipment.

i know what you are saying ,you have to log everything you lend out because its hard to remember who borrowed it and its not there when you need it.they think they own it and you dont get it back. ya you gotta log log itor not loan it. i leared the hard way too.

“Neither a borrower nor a lender be” is a famous line from Shakespeare's Hamlet (Act 1, Scene 3)

Read this over and over again, until you fully understand it, or you'll learn a very hard life's lesson.

An old saying:
Never borrow anything you can't afford to replace.
Never loan anything you can afford to loose.

Governments need to learn that.

3 things I don’t loan out, no particular order
1. Guns
2. Money
3. My wife

Traps should probably be listed there but I do occasionally let a very selective couple people borrow a few from time to time
