Then you'd lose the advantage of just setting it in deep water, or rocky bottomed creeks.
KB's don't have stakes and they work just fine.

Looks like decent stabilizer however, while browsing the F&T catalog saw something so decided to get a couple and modify/ combine the 2 and think it'll work as well as, if not better than the above.
Set-N-Go Stabilizer Kit(Economy) and a Barhers Body Grip Mount III. got 2- 1/4 x 3/4 inch bolts and 2- 1/4 x 1 inch bolts, mounted the BG mount to the steel plate in the Set N go kit. Yea had to drill the 1/4 inch hole in the base plate but looks like it'll be good and stable plus not attached to the trap while packing. The BG mounts available for everything from 110's to 330's the Set N Go is "1 size fits all. Yea more expensive combining these than the KB stabilizer but the IT'S were out of stock with no projected date for availability

I heard someone is starting to crank out the KB stabilizers. Not sure who or where or when. Can't be too difficult. Simple apparatus.

The Barker's Conimounts have been around for quite awhile. Your application sounds good.

I do quite a bit of "walking into" different areas in winter time. I can pack a couple dozen folded #150s on KBs connected with paracord in my big beaver basket and hike back in, setting along the way and back. Tough to do with steel plates. But then not everyone gets too far from their transportation mode to set bottom edges.

Will be an interesting season coming up for the minkers.

#150s on KBs and 6x6 collapsible colony traps . . . have Otter Sled will travel.

I saw those in Antigo too and thought there were clever.
