Stumbled upon 8 dozen of these, new in the box, that are supposedly 10 years old or so. I was offered a pretty good deal on these but I have heard the newer ones did not have very good triggers on them. I had some of the original #150s I bought 10-12 years ago and I really liked those, and personally thought the 5"x5" jawspread was nearly perfect and the triggers weren't too bad and I got quite a few mink using those almost exclusively. So, I tested a few of these lot of 110s, they are plenty strong, have 1 safety hook, pretty stiff trigger wires, and a pretty deeply notched dog with 3 settings. Of course, these are made (or were) in Taiwan, but Dukes are made in Korea, so I don't necessarily see that as a disqualifying reason to not buy them. Can anyone tell me what is the main complaint about this specific trap, or generation of traps, that would disqualify it as a good buy for the mink line, or be able to tell me exactly how to modify the trigger to an acceptable level of performance? TIA

I never had any safety hooks on my 110 Bridgers. Those must be those dangerous ones.

Better set them like this feller.
