Haven't watched, but I was in Lincoln for a few days last week, and it was all they could talk about on the radio.

Yes, I watch a lot of college VB. The Huskers are very strong this year. They may go undeated. Our Badgers are not as strong this season, but they have 9 freshmen on the team and 5 are in main rotation. Looks promising for the future. Big 10 is still the strong conference, but VB has become so popular that several other colleges are not very strong as well. Even down to the HS level we see even medium sized schools having a varsity team with 1 or even 2 JV teams. It is a great sport to play and watch.
Bryce I ref HS volleyball. It's definitely the most popular sport for the girls now. Unfortunately it's hurting the other HS sports as they're playing travel ball that occurs during other HS seasons.

Sounds like some other sports will need to adapt and move their season some may help? On the other hand girls may get to play that wouldn't if they had more competition so may be good for them. I not a big have to have the strongest team and got to win person for high-school sports. No one will care who won the state championship in the past. Whats important is learing the teamwork, commitment, and other life skills team sports teach. Winning is nice sure but its not whats important in high-school learning and building skills is.

Working hard to win and winning builds self-confidence that lasts through life. Learing to take a loss/disappointment and how to improve can be more important than winning all the time . There is a lesson in everything both success and failure.

My oldest granddaughter is 14 and 5’ 11” and plays the middle. We watch a lot of Andi. I have become a huge fan of VB. Best of luck to your Granddaughter!

Nobody remembers who came in 2nd..... And no one will remember or care who came in first in a short amount of time. Except the over weight 40 year old QB that peaked in high-school and still talking about his glory days. I never gave a game I played a 2nd thought after a week or two win or lose. Guess kids games just aren't important to me. Now I replay hunts and good traline days 20 years later maybe thats just more my thing.
