I've been picking up nuts every 2 days and need to go to a daily harvest. This is yesterday's collection. I got 9 heaped up buckets of named varieties, of better quality black walnuts, around 4 gallons of heartnuts, a few shellbark hickory nuts and a solitary hican.

I picked up every single nut by hand because the grass is too tall for the rollers.

I'm behind on hulling. I've got 20 some buckets to husk. I might take them over to the new local Hammonds representative and pay the 14 cents a pound to have them hulled. I'll still clean them more in my paint mixer.

I planted 370 bur oak acorns so far this fall. That might sound like a lot, but I still have 1,850 in my fridge grin

Nice.
I do most of my picking up by hand. Do you get a sore neck from doing this Keith, I do.
