Master Baiter eh? LMAO! I do have a habit of stepping on Superman’s cape though!
TravC, I try not to argue with anyone and in this thread especially about my videos I let the few years of videos of testing gland lures speak for themselves. In that one video where I brought in a post and the coyotes didn’t like it there at all but once I removed it, they worked the set. How can anyone deny what they see on those two videos with that simple change??
My responses to any thread is yes, backed by decades of experience in my part of Michigan. Everyone has their own experiences and can make their own interpretation of what they see on all of my videos because there’s nothing there except a test plot, camera, and coyote. If the viewer’s interpretation differs from mine, cool beans and you can go choke your own chicken! You made some goofy post set that scares all the coyotes away,,so now anyone making a rubbing post set doesnt have as much chance at catching a coyote as you do at your other who knows what set.OK,,we get it.Your on youtube so we dont know nuthin.Carry on coyote scarer away guy.

I have to admit I did learn something from your video,,you could get work making scent post sets all around peoples chicken coops.Never have to worry about coyotes raiding the hen house again.

While you are spending at BJs get some of his prepared bait. You're welcome.

…. I don’t use bait … I like to keep the coon, possum and skunk out That's why June says to use his Widowmaker paste bait. It's a fresh bait that doesn't attract the coon, possum, and skunk. I don't know if that's true or not, I haven't put it to the test.

They will rub it if you smear it up high Thanks. Maybe at some point ill do some more testing on it We once had a sponsor hand out all new saddle pads. I took scraps of the old ones (think double RANK folks) and tacked them on some corner post that no longer had barbed wire on them. I could find obvious Coyote hair on it but could not figure out a pattern of where they stepped to suggest any type of trap placement. I also thought trail cams were high $$ investments back then but would have been the hot set up.
Too high to rub is where I like a call lure UpsateNY along with a visual attractant but that is a cat specific set (after you clear out every possum and mating skunks on the place)

LEFTY,,,,,^^^^^ you cant put lure up high cause then you only have 6 chances of catching a three legged bobcat.I seen it on youtube.

I trap from the first week of December thru mid February and the tracks in the snow tell me more than any camera can. I can walk up and see actual foot placement. And I write that sorta stuff down, just in case I would forget What were we talking about
