Do you prefer the time when US was totally anti-Russia or is it better now when its possible to buy diesel from Putin?

Business is business I guess, as long as you don't make the mistake of thinking Russia is a friend...

When the U.S. was anti communist yes. The Ukraine/Russia conflict, with the surge in diesel prices it has created, shows that the U.S. should likely find other sources to fill that niche. Venezuela might be that other source.

Zelensky is trying to make the US buying diesel from Russia impossible. I don't like either side in the Russian/Ukrainian War. I do know of one very fine Russian woman, who doesn't appreciate herself enough. Russia is a long time, proven enemy of ours. Russia is mostly being propped up as the boogeyman by the globalists in the EU and Britain to try to unite their people, as they betray their same people. Russia has very little power except for their nukes. They are rapidly shrinking in prominence as a world power. Their shrinking population and inability to produce anything much needed by the world, not linked to oil, is making them of little importance.

I see little wrong with buying the diesel our country needs from Russia.

Being from Sweden, who our news media tells us sees Russia as a imminent threat, do you actually believe they are?

I would support bombing Ukraine if it meant diesel went back under $5.

Do you mean the time (over 30 years ago) when it was ruled by godless communism? Or now, when it is governed by folks who reject western liberalism, wokeness, LGBTQ, etc, and now is one of the very few European Countries the defend and promote Christianity?
I prefer the Russia now.

Hard to believe Russia is a top tier power, yeah they have nukes, if they work, but how do you explain they can't overrun Ukraine?, pretty pathetic in my view...I think the main threat from Russia to the Baltic states is the hybrid attacks and sabotage to utilities, communication, and just being a pain in the ...

Western anti aircraft, automated weapons and drones are why they haven't overrun Ukraine.

So you’re saying you like a Yarovaya law? I just assumed Americans wouldn’t love that with the persecution of evangelicals and protestants, their anti missionary laws etc. I just figured a country that is majority Protestant wouldn’t love that. I’ve never really considered imprisoning evangelical pastors and clergy as good but you’ve got the wheels turning.

Why can Russia never defeat Ukraine?
Pretty simple actually, when a people fight foreign agressors who want to enslave them and their children they will fight to the death,no problem.
On the other hand a people fighting at the behest of a dictator for a monthly wage just dont have the same motivation.
Why the whole free world (except you and your wannabe dictator) supports Ukraine.

And hundreds of billions of dollars in "assistance" from the US and other countries.

They don't want to over run Ukraine. Putin wanted 4 Providences. They got them in a couple months and have been reinforcing the new Russian boundry ever since!

We have so many enemies these days, almost any deal is with one. I think our only friend doesn't produce much of value.

"Dictator"? I just heard Z say that they can't have elections in Ukraine because too many people have left the Country. So who's a dictator?

If I remember right, Zelenskky suspended elections as soon as the war started. Since we have been giving him billions with no oversight or accountability, I wonder if he is overly worried about ending the war.

RVSASK,
Yes, the Russian government does favor the Orthodox church. However, I personally know several Russian and Ukrainian Baptists and Pentecostals currently living in Russia who experience zero persecution from Russian authorities or civilians. They are allowed to practice their faith and even prosylitize others into their faith with no problems.

The Russian government does however seem to discourage non Trinitarian Christian religions such as some well known "christian" cultic groups. In general Russia wants to keep outside religious organizations out of Russia. I can't say that I blame them, imo, there are some religious groups I think we should keep out of our Country.

I personally know a pastor in Russia who recently served over two years in a Russian prison. He had sent money to a sister church in Ukraine in violation of the law. He was not put in prison because of his faith, but because he broke the law. It might surprise people to hear that both he and his family support Putin.

No democracy can have an election when under attack-same with the greatest democracy of the Magna Carta,England in ww2
Old dictator Putin just changes the law to make himself dictator for life when his term came up years ago under his fake democracy.
