I have some slightly modified 110's, cut the trigger wires to about half so I could put them through some corrugated plastic for foot pans.
Questions is will they still work with carrots for muskrat or do I have to replace with full length wires?
Thanks

Ya can't miss fur if yur traps are out somewhere.
Or so I've been told.

I don't think I'd like a bait so close to the dog, especially on a 110. You can get double ferrules and add some stiff wire to lengthen them. Squeeze what wire remains through the ferrule, add the extension up through and hammer it tight.

They will work as is by skewing your baited item (carrot) on both wires parallel to the jaws (trigger on the bottom).................................................................... the mike............. P.S. a rat bites hard with those miniature beaver teeth and takes a chunk of its root meal at a time. Grass is different for them (they chew like a rabbit) but you are using bait that has the firmness of a root. My experience....................... the mike (again).
