It looks cross bred to me. Maybe the product of crossing an elephant and a rhino so I will call it Eliphino! ((This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) if I know)

Well it is hanging in my late partner's shop and his SIL is asking me what it is.

I have never seen it before. My partner was really into chainsaws and he owned and operated a sawmill.

It COULD be some sort of jig for grinding teeth on a saw blade or an attachment for another tool along those same lines

I don't see a bubble gauge or any type of meter to measure camber offset from straight up and down.

It's designed to give you a mechanical advantage over using your bare hands but like Cotton said I'm not sure it would be worth a darn for castrating pigs or even muslim invaders so I guess just scrap the worthless daggum thing. You can't enen set it on fire and test the smoke alarm or respone time from the local fire department which of course livens up any man's day.

Junk unless Wolfie can figger out how to use it to cast big bore bullets with it and hand load rounds with no kick!

Yeah it very well could be something along those lines. He did have a tool for that but it has been years since I have seen it.

The sawmill used a 52 inch circular blade.

The teeth had inserts that could be resharpened. I am leaning towards this thing being a jig that could be clamped on the blade and using a hand powered grinding wheel to sharpen the inserts
