Yep, these are great. Add up a diced hard boiled egg or two, and it really helps with protein intake.

My wife has a Kodiak protein bar every morning. She likes two flavors, Chocolate chip and S'mores. She said they taste good and they are both chewy. I buy them for her at Sam's Club.

What do you normally eat that put you low in protein? Are you a vegetarian?

Kind of along the same lines of martentrapper....the average American's diet provides way more than enough protein. The only people that likely ever need to supplement are athletes that are burning bizzillions of calories.

Okay. My wife left a couple months back and I dropped a bunch of weight in that span. 46 years and was over rather quickly with no effort at reconciliation. I’m in counseling. I’m 68 and she’s 75 but never been an issue. Explosion of anger and out of my hands. I wasn’t supportive enough of her ailments. I was desensitized to it over time. I never cheated or lied to her. Over all the years I gave her 3-400 dozen roses. I believe something is going wrong with her and I have a daughter that’s been the catalyst for her not returning. I’m getting over her best I can and I prefer truthful to leaving you guys kinda wondering. Angela senses something off easily. You guys have been super helpful and I really appreciate it under the circumstances.

I lost weight when my wife died not because I couldn't cook I did all that most of the time.
I lost weight because she was into eating on a schedule thought 3 a day was needed , I eat when I get hungry.

pork loin from the store has been about 2.49 a pound sometimes 1.99 a pound

it comes in a log about 2 feet long and they run about 20-25 dollars

slice it into 3/4 inch thick steaks and put 2 in every bag and freeze what you aren't eating today or tomorrow.
I generally get 15-20 steaks from that.

some seasoned salt , a skillet and 4 minutes a side , some green beans you can do the steam in bag type to be extra easy , little butter on that and you are all set , eat when you get hungry.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Sorry to hear this. frown At her age, you certainly could be right about there being something off in her thinking. Even though it sounds as though you think your daughter is the reason she's not returning, it should at least provide ya some comfort to know at least someone is looking out for her and she's not out there on her own. I have no idea what's gonna go on with your situation but understand your pain and yes, it's important that you take care of yourself even when you don't want to.

In light of this, my new suggestions include protein shakes and drinkable yogurt.

The Pure Protein shakes, from Walmart, are very good.... and although kinda spendy...... very easy to just chug one down when you don't feel like eating.

Chobani yogurt drinks are also good. The one in my fridge now has 15g of protein and 120 calories.

So......

Breakfast..... your 2 eggs, 2 brown and serve sausage patties and a yogurt shake. 30g protein

Lunch. Pure protein shake. 30g protein

Supper. 8oz steak or a 8 ounce burger. 50g protein.

110g total. Not so hard. smile

Or if that's too much meat for supper for ya, play around with supper a bit... 4oz burger with a thick slab of cheese melted on it, a scoop of cottage cheese, and a glass or two of milk. Or add a yogurt or shake to your supper. OR add a yogurt or shake in for an afternoon snack....
