I’ve been living under a rock since the led headlights came out.. I didn’t realize how much brighter things are with them.
My sister took myself and my wife out to supper for our anniversary and she drove her new camero and we rode in it.
Anyway,,, I’m considering putting some aftermarket led bulbs in my old Silverado and I wasn’t sure if these are what I need…
I was trying to look up how many lumins these had but couldn’t.
Our local auto parts store wants 80 bucks for a pair,, figured it’d be cheaper to look online to get them.

Yep, do your research and figure out what you have and the proper way to "upgrade"

I love the people that don’t do it properly.

Go on Amazon, luxster led headlights are plug and play. They make a few different models of lights with varying prices. I bought a set for my 06 pickup for $29 last year and they work great without any adjustments needed. I also have a pair of their lights in my CRV that were a bit more expensive being they are an upgraded model, no issues at all. There are tons of lights on Amazon from different manufacturers for about the same pricing. I really like how well they work in the snow and how much wider they shine than traditional lights. Especially if you live in a rural area with alot of deer.

Be sure to check your state laws, some state limit the number of lumens that are legal for use on highways

A lot of the LED bulb packages have VERY fine print that states "for off-road use only" because they are too bright.

Nobody bothers to read that though.

be careful you get used to being blinded by every car on the road then you get an older car with dim lights it looks way off in the distance on a dark night

if it looks far make sure it isn't just dim

there was a tractor out last night plowing in the dark , I was driving a county road with fields on both sides , nothing concerning about a tractor in the field , but the lights were so intense and coming right at me I slowed down to figure out if someone was racing a truck or side by side at me across the field.

then the tractor turned and I could see how far away it actually was

it looked like it was getting into the 300 yard range and closing fast until it turned then it was over a half mile and moving standard tractor speed. lights that intense can play on your sense of distance for sure.

X3

I ended up putting a set in my Tacoma finally even though I hate the things, because everybody else has the dang things and I was tired of changing bulbs every six months. It does help me see when everyone else is blinding me with their super bright headlights, but I prefer a yellow light to that white led. My older Toyota has the old glass headlights that last forever and shine pretty good. My Dodge has horrible headlights and I put a light bar on it and use it when there is no one coming as my high beams. Haven't switched the normal headlights off high beam on that Dodge in years, and never had anyone flash their lights at me, because they are so dim.

One thing I will warn you about those LED lights, they don't produce heat, so when driving while it is snowing a wet sticky snow, that snow will build up on your headlights instead of melting off like it will with halogens. It'll get harder and harder to see as you drive and you'll have to pull over and wipe your headlights off.

Absolutely appreciate the feedback everyone.
I might just do a light bar.. I’ll probably mess with it after the season is over.

Oh, Those BUNGHOLES read it alright, they do it on purpose to be ornery, they just don't care who they kill with them.

X3. I make sure we're both blind to show my appreciation.
