So i have skinned a few animals but for some reason when I do skunks with barely any pressure I end up getting a hole or two that I have to sew up.
Same thing has happend on two small beavers I just fleshed.
I've tried straight on the board, towel under the fur so far it never seems to fail on making holes.
The beaver tend to be between the legs and edge, skunk happens to be either back of the neck or belly.
Any suggestions?
Also if a skunk tail "falls" off do I sew it back on or just leave it off like the coyotes.
Thanks

Ya can't miss fur if yur traps are out somewhere.
Or so I've been told.
