I will skin/flesh as soon as possible, otherwise I get backed up too much. A ride home in the back of the truck in below freezing temps is sufficient for me.

Woops, didn't see your temps. Either way, I'll get at them ASAP!

I like to skin while warm, but that's a rarity because I either work or have class in the afternoon. There's many roadkill opportunities around, but, in the rainly NW, they're usually wet.
I like to towel dry the roadkill, blow dry them on cool setting, then dump em in the freezer whole till I can deal with them later. (In a garbage bag.)
I then lay out 2 coon at a time on top of the freezer to thaw, (in a bag so the housemates don't freak out,) skin them, and put the green pelts in the freezer rolled up.
On fleshing day, I'll put out as many pelts to thaw as I have stretchers for them.
I have housemates, so I don't do stuff every day, it would drive them nuts. I let them know when I need to use the garage for my "purposes." They know not to enter the garage that day.

skin as soon as possible flesh later on either next day or put in freezer to due at later date
$20.00 trap, a $1.00 stake, probably $1.00 in pan cover, bait, urine, and lure, Not to mention gas etc. All for a $10.00 coyote.Priceless!!!!!

Skin as soon as possible, warm coon pull alot nicer than cold, then as long as the fur is dry and temps cool I hang them on a nail fur side in till I get to them, doesn't have to be freezing twenty four hours a day cold fat stays cold for a while and cold fat pushes easier.
