When drying pelts, do i have to buy stretchers?

Can i just tack it down to a large peice of wood? (Stretched a little)


Also do i just sit it down to dry? No salt or anything, then sell it?

Listen, either you can put a lil' bit of extra money and put it toward good stretchers or you can sell your catch green and put the money towards stretchers later.

If you don't have stretchers, you need to sell them green.
Beaver are about the only pelts that are routinely tacked to boards.

you don't need salt or anything else to dry the pelt,all you need is to flesh it well(scrape off all the fat and tissue from the leather) and put it on a stretcher to air dry,you must flesh the pelt.

You can check the auction house websites for the dimensions of the proper size boards you need to stretch your pelts. Then make a few.
