Has anyone else had any experience? I tried it today on my trapping buddy's beaver. Never had the cajones to try it on one of my own. I used the blower attachment and put it in a small slit in the ankle, might have helped just a little, but the beaver had some gastro-intestinal problems and the shop stunk worse than normal.
I'm thinking about trying it in the wrists, maybe with a frozen beaver with just the hide thawed out, or maybe a basketball attachment, or some combination might work.
I'll wait for him to catch some more and try some things, other than that I think it might be a good thing to tell the competition.
"shoot yeah, set it on high, wait till it blows juice and just open it up and shake the carcass out!"

Do you use a basketball attachment, or just the blower nozzle? Fresh or semi frozen?

It's a wonder our boss doesn't fire us, especialy after the bench mounted wire wheel mink gland grinding fiasco of 2002. We are pretty good help when fur is not prime though.

Use a needle. Go in at the wrist. Leaves too much fleshing, and doesn't save any time. IMO creates more work.
Adios,

Doesn't work on beaver, I've tried. The air doesn't push up just under the skin like on a coon.

In the time it would take to get out the air hose, cut a slit, and insert under the coon's skin I can have one skinned the old fashion way. Waste of time on beaver or any animal as far as I'm concerned. Trying to take short cuts often takes more time in the long run. Just skin the normal way. Like anything else the more you do the faster you will get.

Works great.

I can skin a coon in under a minute this way. Use 100 - 120 psi. Anything less no good. Youll know you have enough air in em when they whistle through their nose.

And video tape it so everyone else on here can see how its done!
